BBC Proms Live Olympic Celebration FR 7/27 at 1pm on FM 101.3

The world is turning to London this month as the 2012 Olympics Games kick off, and on Friday, July 27th, WBAA Public Radio and American Public Media present a fabulous live broadcast from the world's largest classical music festival, the London-based BBC Proms!

APM's Fred Child hosts the two-hour program featuring the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in Beethoven's triumphant Symphony No. 9 in a live performance timed to end exactly one minute before the Olympic's opening celebration begins!
