Community Foundation awards 27 grants to Lafayette area nonprofits

More than two dozen nonprofits in the Lafayette area received an early holiday gift.

The Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette (CFGL)  made 27 “Tier 3” awards totaling $107,751 in grants to 25 local charitable organizations.  Tier 3 awards are requests of under $7,500 from area not-for-profit agencies.  CFGL accepts these proposals year-round through noon on December 1.

Community members who establish unrestricted funds in their family names and donors who make unrestricted gifts to CFGL during the year make our discretionary grant awards possible. Each grant addresses at least one of the six priority community needs adopted by The Foundation’s Board of Directors: Education, Children/Youth, Health, Diversity, Physical Environment, and Arts & Culture. Tier 3 grants awarded this cycle highlight projects that address education, health, and healthy community efforts.
