Funeral today for slain Purdue student

The Purdue student killed in last week’s shooting and stabbing on campus will be laid to rest today.

The university is providing transportation for students who want to attend the funeral for 21-year-old Andrew Boldt.

Several charter buses will leave campus around 12:30pm today, to make the nearly four-hour trip up to Boldt’s hometown of West Bend, Wisconsin.

Visitation begins at 4:30 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, with the funeral to follow at seven o’clock.

Boldt died one week ago today after being shot and stabbed in a basement classroom in the Electrical Engineering building.

Another Purdue student, Cody Cousins, is being held in the Tippecanoe County Jail without bond on a murder charge.
