Improvements to Soldiers Home Road lift station to begin this week

Work on improvements to a lift station in West Lafayette is expected to get underway this week.

Waste Water Treatment Utility Director Dave Henderson says upgrades to the structure on Soldiers Home Road will be complete by the end of the year.

He says the $636,000 project is being paid for with money from the department’s Capital Improvements Fund.

It includes new pumps, a backup generator, and updated equipment to allow the lift station to be monitored 24-hours-a-day.
