INDOT hosting Hoosier Heartland Highway meetings

Residents of Cass and Carroll counties can share their thoughts on the Hoosier Heartland Highway in December.

Representatives from the Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a meeting in each county to discuss the project. It stretches from Lafayette to Fort Wayne along State Road 25 and U.S. Highway 24. The path eventually leads to Toledo with access to the Great Lakes.

Economist Garry Peterson is working with INDOT. He says once the project is complete, the benefits of the highway will be obvious.

The Carroll County meeting is Thursday, December 1st in Delphi at the Canal Center.
Cass County residents can meet Monday, December 5th at the Performing Arts Center in Logansport.
