Month of the Military Child

April is the Month of the Military Child, and for more than 25 years, children of U.S. service members around the world have been honored for their sacrifices and contributions to their families’ well-being.

An estimated 1.2 million military children experienced deployment of a parent since 2001 between active-duty, Reserve and National Guard forces. Of that, more than 21,000 come from Indiana, which has the sixth largest National Guard in the country.
