New event joins the Uptown Jazz and Blues Festival
By Sam Klemet
An annual event in downtown Lafayette is adding something new this year.
The Uptown Jazz and Blues festival is working with the organization Friends of Downtown to add the Beers Across the Wabash event.
It will feature about 30 Indiana Breweries showing off their products on the pedestrian bridge.
Greg Emig is the owner of the Lafayette Brewing Company and helped organize the event.
He says it’s another attraction that will help bring more people to the area during the festival weekend.
Beers Across the Wabash will run from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday, August 25th.
The Uptown Jazz and Blues festival is from 5 p.m. until midnight
This is the event’s eighth year.
