Purdue will be looking for a new executive vice president and treasurer.
Al Diaz has held that post since July 2009.
He has accepted the job of treasurer and chief financial officer at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
The independent Catholic university enrolls nearly 3,700 students.
Diaz will take over at Marymount June 1st.
