WBAA Arts Spotlight: Art on the Wabash

Art on the Wabash, a juried art fair, takes place Sunday, September 25 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette.

John Clare spoke to City of West Lafayette Greenspace Administrator Beverly Shaw and artist Carolyn Cason about the fair, and what to expect this year!

This juried fair features work from artists in a 15 county area and is presented by the City of West Lafayette. Artists each have a booth so you can visit with them and learn about their work. Programs will be available at the fair and will contain contact information for each artist, to have for future reference.

As for parking, Visitors may park free in the Wabash Landing Parking Garage. The gate at the exit will be up until one hour after the event. Elsewhere, please check for posted signs and respect parking spaces reserved for Wabash Landing merchants’ customers.

John Nasukaluk Clare is comfortable behind a microphone, streaming video or playing violin. A former broadcaster for NPR, John has previously worked with Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcast Corporation and stations in Texas, Kansas, Nevada, California, and Pennsylvania. In 2005, Clare earned the Deems Taylor Award from ASCAP for radio broadcasting, citing his work on 20/20 Hearing. Having performed with famed tenors Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, John has worked with the Mozart Festival Texas, Mid Texas Symphony, Nevada Chamber Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic and Wichita Symphony Orchestra.
