Indianapolis International Violin Competition Final Round on WBAA Classical

Join us for live broadcasts of the entire final round of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. After eight days of competition, the 2018 Jury selected six finalists to advance into the Finals:
Ioana Cristina Goicea (Romania)
Anna Lee (U.S.A.)
Risa Hokamura (Japan)
Shannon Lee (U.S.A./Canada)
Luke Hsu (U.S.A.)
Richard Lin (Taiwan/U.S.A.)
The two remaining rounds consist of the Printing Partners Classical Finals, in which each Participant collaborates with the East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) in a concerto by Mozart or Haydn, plus an encore work by Fritz Kreisler (orchestrated by 1994 IVCI Laureate Jaakko Kuusisto). Performances take place at the Schrott Center for the Arts on the Butler University campus on Wednesday and Thursday, September 12-13 at 8:00 PM.
Each Participant will then perform a full Romantic or post-Romantic concerto with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Leonard Slatkin on Friday and Saturday, September 14-15 at 8:00 PM at the Hilbert Circle Theatre.
