An Evening of Romance takes place Friday - a celebration of Valentine’s Day in cabaret fashion with the Purdue Jazz Band. They've teamed up with the School of Hospitality & Tourism Management to recreate a 1940s big band dance club atmosphere – where couples can enjoy music, dancing, food, and romance. WBAA's John Clare spoke to Mo Trout about the event February 15th.

A William Shakespeare early comedy, The Two Gentlemen of Verona raises questions about the loyalty between two friends who are smitten with the same young woman. WBAA Music Director John Clare spoke with Purdue graduate student Malena Gordo who is in the production opening Friday.

The Wabash Valley Youth Symphony present their next concert Sunday, February 10th at 7 pm at the Long Center for the Arts in Lafayette. The program includes Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2 "Little Russian",  Rossini's La gazza ladra Overture, and Strauss's Horn Concerto No. 1 - featuring soloist Addie Tribbett. WBAA's John Clare spoke with Tribbett and conductor Wilbur Lin about the concert.

We are all saddened by the death of Tyler Trent. The Carmel native left Purdue early last year to enter hospice care. He battled osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, since he was in high school. After camping out in front of Ross-Ade Stadium during the 2017 football season, Trent's story has become a source of inspiration worldwide.
