City of West Lafayette

West Lafayette officials have a better idea as to the cost of the second phase of construction on Cumberland Avenue.

The Board of Works is considering three bids, with the highest totaling a little more than $3.1 million.

All three options fall within the range of estimates previously given by the city Engineering Department.  The high end of that range is $3.5 million.

Phase two of the project is aimed at updating Cumberland from Yeager Road to Salisbury Street.  It includes two roundabouts; one at Yeager and another at Manchester.

All Purdue employees have the responsibility to do what's right to keep those who work, study, and visit the university safe. That's the message from President France Cordova in response to the ongoing scandal at Penn State.

Cordova sent a brief email message to all employees saying everyone should report child abuse or neglect they witness or have knowledge of. She says in an emergency situation, that can be done by calling 911.
