WBAA celebrates 90th anniversary with Diane Rehm, supporters

NPR talk show host Diane Rehm is honoring the history of Public Radio from Purdue.

The national host came to West Lafayette this week as part of WBAA’s 90th anniversary celebration.

She spoke about her career path from homemaker to radio host, the political climate in Washington D.C. and the status of women in broadcasting and the workplace.

Part of Rehm’s message is to engage in more meaningful conversations and not rely solely on technology to form relationships.

She also says her show is unique and successful because of the courteous dialogue between guests.
