The Tippecanoe Arts Federation (TAF) is honoring its Bravo award winners. The event Wednesday brought together lawmakers, businesses, and members of the arts community in and around Tippecanoe County.
Arni’s Restaurant and the Cohen Family – Brad, Ann, and Linda – received the 2013 Bravo Award for their outstanding contributions to the arts throughout the state over multiple generations.
The John Corey Award went to Eric Van Cleave for his service as an arts educator, director, arranger, and composer that has been recognized nationwide. TAF credits Van Cleave for revolutionizing arts education through his 13 years of work with Lafayette School Corporation and current work with nationally recognized show choirs.
Nearly $145,000 in grants were awarded to 28 arts groups at the event. The money from the Indiana Arts Commission is through the Regional Partnership Initiative. Grant winners are:
