John McEuen 1/27 Concert Preview

Delphi Opera House

John McEuen is a busy musician - playing multiple instruments, producing albums, recording his own music, hosting a SiriusXM radio show, and is a member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He's performing Friday evening at the Delphi Opera House and spoke with Music Director John Clare about the show.

"I do feel a responsibility to perform and play as best I can. My goal is to take people to a different space where they feel relieved of their daily stresses–if only for a while. My hope is to bring them music that they can return time and time again for the very same reasons."

John Nasukaluk Clare is comfortable behind a microphone, streaming video or playing violin. A former broadcaster for NPR, John has previously worked with Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcast Corporation and stations in Texas, Kansas, Nevada, California, and Pennsylvania. In 2005, Clare earned the Deems Taylor Award from ASCAP for radio broadcasting, citing his work on 20/20 Hearing. Having performed with famed tenors Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, John has worked with the Mozart Festival Texas, Mid Texas Symphony, Nevada Chamber Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic and Wichita Symphony Orchestra.
