New Release: Magnificent Midnight Music

gzpianoduo.com/

Mexican pianist Citlalli Guevara and Bulgarian pianist Slavina Zhelezova began their musical collaboration in 2008 in Brussels. Working closely under the tutelage of Philippe Entremont and Nelson delle Vigne Fabbri, the two "immediately bonded based on their shared vision for the unique artistic potential of the music for piano duo." Their debut as GZ Piano Duo the next February at the Palm Beach International Piano Festival drew critical praise and standing ovations.

Their new release is called Midnight Conversations, and features music from Schubert to their own arrangements of tangos. WBAA's John Clare spoke with Citalli and Slavina about the new Centaur recording.
