Attention local history lovers of Greater Lafayette! Join us with TCHA at The History Center in Downtown Lafayette to learn about the history of the libraries in Tippecanoe County! On April 17th at 6 PM, current and former staff will chronicle their respective library’s past and present. Why are there so many libraries in our community and beyond, and how did they get there?

Historic photos and artifacts will also be on display, as well as time for Q&A. Nick Schenkel will present the history of WLPL, Brooke Sauter will present the history of Otterbein Public Library, and Matthew Meyer will present the history of TCPL. This event is part of a joint event series that TCHA and WLPL have partnered to bring to the community in 2024. Thanks to TCHA, Tippecanoe County Public Library, and Otterbein Public Library for their help in making this program happen. This event is free, and open to the public.
