Indiana Realities: Regionalist Painting from 1930-1945

Join us at the Haan Museum for the exhibit, “Indiana Realities: Regionalist Paintings 1930-1945.” In this collection, Bob and Ellie Haan have gathered 39 of the best paintings from Hoosier artists who focused on scenes of everyday life in the Midwest during the Depression and WWII, using well-defined shapes to depict urban settings, industrial scenes and everyday activities of common people. Many of the artists were students at the Heron Art Institute in Indianapolis. The show will run from August 26th to November 12 and be available to see during the museum's normal operating hours, Wednesday-Saturday from 1-4pm. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 5-17, and free for members
