Featuring the eponymous short film created during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, as well as several large-scale paintings and prints, this exhibition explores themes of identity, community, sound, and resilience. Jeffrey Gibson is an American Mississippi Choctaw/Cherokee multimedia artist and winner of the MacArthur Fellowship (2019). His work incorporates vibrant patterns and colors, beadwork, painting, and printing. This exhibition celebrates the 10th anniversary of the LGBTQ Center and the 15th anniversary of the Native American Educational & Cultural Center (NAECC). Purdue Galleries’s 2022-23 exhibition season is generously sponsored by Purdue University’s Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.
