LSC Purchasing E-Readers for Elementary Students
The Lafayette School Corporation is updating its technology to help elementary school students.
The district is investing in E-readers for kindergarten through fourth grades.
Director of Elementary Education Karen Combs says the interactive capabilities of the device will make for more comprehensive learning.
She hopes to have them in classrooms this spring.
She says other districts have used similar devices and the feedback is mostly positive.
The district will pay for the E-readers with Title One grant funds.
Combs says LSC is pursuing more grant money to bring the devices to all grade levels.
