Ivy Tech’s Lafayette campus is getting a budget increase.
The state is allocating about $200,000 more for the community college in the 2012-2013 school year.
Most of the additional funds are to pay for staffing two-full time advisors.
Executive Director of Marketing and Communications Tom McCool says this is a way to help with student performance.
He also says some of the money will be put toward professional development.
The regional board will vote on adopting the more than $34-million spending plan during its meeting Monday, June 18th.
