GPRI director finalists presenting on campus

Public forums with the finalists for the job of Purdue’s Global Policy Research Institutedirector begin this week. Candidates will present a seminar on their vision for the institute.

The candidates and their seminar times are:

  • March 19, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Krannert Building, Krannert Auditorium (Room 140). Franklin Mink, interim president, National Disease Research Interchange.
  • March 27, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Krannert Building, Krannert Auditorium (Room 140). Robert Rich, retired director of the Institute of Government and Public Affairs and retired professor of law, political science, medicine and public health, University of Illinois.
  • April 1, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Krannert Building, Krannert Auditorium (Room 140). Volker Franke, associate professor of conflict management, Department of Political Science and International Affairs, Kennesaw State University.

There will be a short reception immediately following each presentation in the Krannert Drawing Room.
The Global Policy Research Institute has had an interim director, since inaugural director Dr. Arden Bement stepped down at the end of last year.
