Future of Loeb Stadium topic of public hearing

An informational session in Lafayette tonight is designed to gather public input on the future of Loeb Stadium.

It’s part of an overall effort by the city’s Parks Department to update its five-year master plan.

The document will guide officials on future developments and new programs.

Options range from some renovation work to building a new stadium.

Tonight’s meeting gets underway at five o’clock at Rush Pavilion in Columbian Park.

Comments are also being accepted on the future of the old municipal golf course and anything else associated with the city’s parks and recreational facilities.

Two additional public hearings are scheduled for later this month.
