LPD locates body of missing Lafayette man

The body of a missing Lafayette man has been found.

Neal Bastian was reported missing last week by his family.

He was last seen January 18th on his way to go fishing.

Starting Friday, Lafayette police searched the east bank of the Wabash River from the old city municipal golf course down to Riehle Plaza, based on information that Bastian liked to fish in that area.

His body was located around 4:15 yesterday afternoon between the river and the Heritage Trail about 200 yards north of Riehle Plaza.

Police say there was no evidence of criminal activity or foul play.
