The state’s ISTEP scores are out and area school corporations are showing mostly positive results.
The statewide figure for all students passing both the English-Language Arts and Math portions of the test is 71%.
Five of the 21 public school corporations in and around Tippecanoe County are below that level. Those are Lafayette, Attica, Community Schools of Frankfort, Southeast Fountain and North Montgomery.
West Lafayette schools have the highest rate of students passing both the English and Math parts of the test.
The local school corporation with the biggest improvement in that category is North White, which saw its score improve more than 12 points.
