The city of Crawfordsville recently celebrated the return of the Montgomery County Courthouse Clock Tower after 70 years – you can see it well down US-231, but local leaders say it’s more than just a physical marker.

This week on WBAA’s Ask The Mayor, we’re talking visibility.

In our talk with Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton, we ask about his globe-trotting effort to market the city to more investors. He’s been to Japan, Atlanta and most recently Washington, D.C. to showcase Crawfordsville, but with all the competition that comes with these summits, is there increasing pressure to bring back exciting offers? We ask if there’s been any tangible progress on the economic development front after these summits. And once the jobs are brought in, what’s the best way to fill them – bringing more, experienced people in, or making sure Crawfordsvillians are trained for them?

Plus, we discuss Crawfordsville’s biggest annual event of the year – the Strawberry Festival.
