Cousins' attorney has few details about the case

The attorney for the young man charged with the murder on the Purdue campus last week says he‘s waiting to hear back from the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor‘s Office on their latest findings in the case.

Robert Gevers II is representing 23-year-old Cody Cousins, who prosecutors and police say stabbed and shot 21-year-old Andrew Boldt during a class inside the Electrical Engineering Building last Tuesday.

Gevers says it’s too early to even speculate about the case.

He says Cousins‘ family extends its condolences to the Boldt family.

The court entered a not-guilty plea on Cousins' behalf Thursday.

A tentative trial date has been set for April 22nd.
