Worked planned for Loeb Stadium in Lafayette will address the immediate needs of the 75 year old facility.

Parks Superintendent Ted Bumbleburg says the first phase includes waterproofing and concrete repairs. He says they also will construct a small locker room building.

Cost estimates will be known once bids are submitted.

The timeline calls for the work to be done this winter and completed by March 1, so the stadium is available for the start of baseball season.

The last major renovation project was completed in 1994. The cost of updating Loeb Stadium with everything it needs is estimated at more than $3 million.
