Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is due in federal court in Indianapolis Thursday morning for sentencing relating to various sex crimes.

Fogle will plead guilty to possession of child pornography and traveling out of state to have sex with minors. He’ll serve at least five years in prison, but prosecutors are seeking 12. That’s the top end of the plea bargain they struck with defense attorneys in August.

Fogle starred in Subway ads for more than a decade after he gained fame for losing 200 pounds as an Indiana University student, thanks to exercise and a diet centered on Subway sandwiches.

Prosecutors claim the one-time sandwich pitchman received images of nude children from the head of his foundation. They say he also paid for sex with a 17-year-old girl while staying at high-end New York City hotels on business trips.

Subway quickly ended its relationship with Fogle after police raided his suburban Indy home in July. Fogle has apologized through an attorney and is undergoing psychiatric care. He’s paid out $1.4 million in restitution to victims.
