Jeff Brohm To Remain Purdue Football Coach

Purdue head football coach Jeff Brohm has decided to stay in West Lafayette.

Brohm, who'd been rumored as the top pick to fill the coaching vacancy at his alma mater, the University of Louisville, quashed those stories Wednesday by announcing he'd remain at the helm of Purdue's program.

Brohm's teams have reached a bowl game each of his first two seasons, but he's still just 13-and-12 as the Boilermakers' coach. But after Darrell Hazell's disappointing three-year tenure as coach, that record was good enough to earn Brohm a contract extension after 2017 -- his first year on the job.

And it's likely to net him additional perks after this year, because he chose not to go to the school where both he and his brother -- Purdue offensive coordinator Brian Brohm -- starred on the gridiron.

Purdue will learn Sunday where and against whom it'll play its 2018 bowl game.
