Tax abatements for coffee roasting company gain final approval

An Indianapolis-based company is relocating to Lafayette.

Copper Moon Coffee is moving its operations to a ten-acre property on Veterans Memorial Parkway East, near the IU Health Arnett Hospital.

To help make it possible, Tippecanoe County officials have granted the company a $500,000 ten- year abatement on real estate and an $800,000 seven-year abatement on manufacturing equipment.

The Tippecanoe County Council gave final approval for the request this morning.

The coffee roasting company would bring 19 jobs to the area in the first two years.
