Top Democrat and Republican negotiators are meeting Friday to hammer out a stimulus package they both want to pass as soon as possible. Democrats criticized the Senate Republicans’ proposal unveiled Thursday as putting corporate interests over people, and are now drafting their own to include provisions like expanded unemployment assistance.
