US-Canada Border Remains Closed As Coronavirus Cases Surge Again

The border between the U.S. and Canada has been closed to most travelers for more than seven months. People who live and work on either side of it are coping with the news that it will remain closed for at least one more month.

Last week, Canadian officials put the brakes on what was supposed to be a reopening for non-essential travel, saying American visitors won’t be allowed into Canada until the U.S. lowers its coronavirus numbers.

Here & Now‘s Tonya Mosley speaks with Rep. Brian Higgins, the Democratic Congressman representing New York State’s western border with Ontario.
