Greater Lafayette forum tackles immigration

Apr 23, 2012

The Greater Lafayette community is taking a closer look at immigration laws.

A panel of experts spoke on the issue Monday night during a forum sponsored by the Diversity Roundtable of Greater Lafayette at Ivy Tech Community College.

Angela Adams, Director of Immigration Group, Lewis & Kappes Counselors and Attorneys at Law, Indianapolis, says bringing the conversation to the forefront is a start in finding a resolution.

Purdue Political Science Professor Jay McCann says there needs to be compromise from both sides if any progress is going to be made.

The Diversity Roundtable is sponsoring a forum on immigration Monday, April 23 at 7 p.m. at Ivy Tech Community College-Lafayette.

WBAA's Mike Loizzo talks with Resa Hodnett and Elaine Doss about the forum, which will air live on AM920 and wbaa.org.
