Purdue Orchestras present two concerts this weekend at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Lafayette. Adam Bodony and Jay Gephart respectively direct the Purdue Symphony and String Orchestras Friday, November 22 at 8pm. Saturday, November 23 at 8pm, Maestro Bodony leads the Purdue Philharmonic Orchestra in concert with guest violinist Chloe Trevor. The 44th Annual Tuba Christmas is taking place Saturday, December 8th at Loeb Playhouse. It's a tradition started by tuba player and professor Harvey Philips in honor his teacher and mentor William Bell, who was born on Christmas Day! Over 80 musicians will perform holiday favorites on low brass instruments including euphoniums, sousaphones, and tubas.

The Purdue All American Marching Band (AAMB) performs at the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500) this Sunday. It marks the 99th year the band has participated. WBAA's John Clare spoke with the band's director, Jay Gephart about the tradition.

Guest conductor Loras Schissel, a senior musicologist at the Library of Congress, is a leading authority on the music of Percy Grainger, and conducts the Blossom Festival Band. The Tippecanoe Chamber Music Society presents Holiday Brass Tuesday, December 13th at 7pm in St. John's Church.
