This week sees the opening of the 28th annual Purdue Jazz Festival. Over 115 jazz bands from middle schools and high schools across the Midwest will compete on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

Purdue Bands & Orchestra will host the 27th annual Purdue Jazz Festival through January 21st. The weekend will feature concerts and clinics from esteemed jazz musicians as well as competitions for 95 high school and middle school bands and combos. John Clare spoke with Mo Trout and Tim Coffman about the 2017 Festival.

Purdue kicks off Jazz Festival Thursday

The 2012 Purdue Jazz Festival kicks off Thursday with three days of headliner concerts, jazz jams, competitions, workshops and more.

This year, Purdue Convocation’s contribution is 21st Century Dizzy: Danilo Perez and Friends.
