Design work for the reconstruction of Happy Hollow Road is entering the final stages and West Lafayette officials want public input before completing the plans.

Public Works director Dave Buck says there will be very little change to the road's current footprint. However, he calls the scope of the project significant:

WL officials warn of traffic disruptions

Road and construction projects along Northwestern Avenue in West Lafayette are expected to cause traffic delays over the next few months.

Mayor John Dennis says work along the road this construction season includes improvements from Lindberg Road to the Yeager Road roundabout, repaving by the state Department of Transportation, and construction of Wang Hall, 720 Northwestern, and the Faith Community Center.

He says the bulk of the work will be done when Purdue is in summer session.

Road work plans in Lafayette approved

The City of Lafayette is moving forward with two major road projects. The Board of Works approved several contracts for improvements on Sagamore Parkway and the widening of Veterans Memorial Parkway.

The first phase of the Sagamore project runs from north of McCarty Lane to south of Main Street.

Jeromy Grenard is an engineer with American Structurepoint, which is planning the work. He says it will involve the full reconstruction of that stretch of road.
