Purdue and the Inter-Religious Network communities are joining in an interfaith church salute centered on the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This is a spirited remembrance of the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in song, readings, reflections and prayer.

Purdue is planning a series of events and service projects to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

WBAA's Mike Loizzo talks about those with College of Liberal Arts Dean Irwin Weiser and Dr. Philathia Bolton, who serve on the planning committee.

Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon was a college student when she became involved in the Civil Rights movement in Georgia.

She spoke with WBAA's Mike Loizzo recently about her role and her message today.

Reagon's talk is Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. in Purdue's Loeb Playhouse.
