The prominence of numerous artists and musicians in the Greater Lafayette and surrounding communities not only makes our community a wonderful place to live, but a great place to move to and stay. Art is frequently called upon to demonstrate that it leads to gains in other areas; economic growth, better test scores and overall educational improvements and stronger, safer communities. Art is an integral part of our human culture and should be celebrated, which is why in 2014 WBAA launched the a monthly series called the WBAA Arts Spotlight.
This program, which features fine and performing arts organizations in Greater Lafayette and surrounding areas, airs the first Wednesday of every month on WBAA News on AM 920 and 101.3 FM at 7:51 a.m. and again at 6:21 p.m. Podcasts are also created and archived here for on-demand listening at your convenience.
If you have any events, exhibits or other information that you think might be of interest to this program, please let us know by contacting us at arts@wbaa.org. You can also always submit your event to our events calendar, which is visited frequently by our listeners and from which WBAA draws its public service announcements.
