Commissioners approve tax abatements for coffee roasting company

Tippecanoe County Commissioners have approved two tax abatements to allow a business to relocate to Lafayette.

Copper Moon Coffee is requesting a $500,000 ten- year abatement on real estate and an $800,000 seven-year abatement on manufacturing equipment.

The coffee roasting business will use the tax breaks to move from Indianapolis to a building on Veterans Memorial Parkway East.

The County Council has the final say on the abatements.

Members approved the request on first vote last month and are expected to take a final vote at their October 9th meeting.
