Drivers on U.S. 52 in Lafayette by the Tippecanoe Mall will experience road work for several weeks.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the highway, also known as Sagamore Parkway South, will be restricted to one lane in each direction at Maple Point Drive. That's in front of Pepe’s Restaurant.
The work is scheduled to begin tomorrow. The lane restrictions are expected to last approximately three weeks. The contractor will be constructing a center median.
INDOT awarded the project to Crider & Crider, Inc. for $4,065,740. This project will reconstruct Concord Road and construct the Maple Point Drive extension from U.S. 52 to Concord. The entire project is estimated to be completed by late November of this year.
