In Chicago, More Often Than Any U.S. City, Shooters are Teens

In Chicago, more than anywhere else in the country, shooters are more likely to be young people. WBEZ's Patrick Smith talked with two young men from Chicago about what drew them into gangs and their struggles to move away from both guns and the culture of violence.

Patrick came to OU from the Dallas area and is now a senior. His major area of study is Broadcasting, with a Sports Management minor. He hopes to work in the broadcast booth for football or baseball games, either doing play-by-play or 'color' commentary.
