The Building Common Ground effort in the Lafayette area is taking another step forward.
The initiative is a partnership between the Tippecanoe County Public Library, Diversity Roundtable of Greater Lafayette Commerce and the Division of Diversity and Inclusion at Purdue. The goal is to foster discussions of community, civility, and compassion.
There are two book discussions at the TCPL Klondike Branch about the book 12 Steps to a Compassionate Life. Those are September 10 at 2 p.m. and September 11 at 7 p.m.
There also is a program September 15 from 10 a.m. to noon to learn about community conversation circles. North Park University Communications Professor Mary Adams Trujillo will present that.
