Mural asks the public to consider their hopes and dreams

A public art project is giving area residents and visitors the chance to talk about their “bucket lists.”

The “Before I Die” interactive mural is being installed in Lafayette and West Lafayette.

People are asked to write their ideas on the wall.

West Lafayette Public Arts Team chair Craig Martin says it’s a place to share hopes and dreams and to showcase the diversity of the community.

The mural was created by New Orleans artist Candy Chang.

It has been installed in more than 30 countries.

In West Lafayette, the mural is on East State Street near Wabash Landing.

In Lafayette, it is located in an alley behind City Hall.
