West Lafayette police and Purdue officials are urging the public to be wary of fundraisers or merchants attempting to capitalize on this week’s deadly shooting on campus.
University officials say they have not authorized any formal fundraisers or merchandise that include the phrase “Boiler Strong.”
Purdue is asking that, out of respect for the family of Andrew Boldt, individuals and groups not pursue the purchase or promotion of these types of items at this time.
The University plans to present a means for expression when appropriate and once the Boldt family has been consulted about its wishes.
