We are throwing a Lewboski themed bowling party at Market Square Lanes May 2nd! Market Square Lanes and North End Pub are sponsoring this event to help Mom&Pop Productions continue to bring amazing national touring acts to the North End Pub!On Thursday May 2nd from 5pm to 9pm just stop in and tell Market Square lanes you are there to bowl for Mom&Pop! We have 10 lanes and you can pay whatever you want ($10 suggested) to bowl per game.DJ Circle T will be spinning choice cuts of Lewbowski themed tunes and we highly encourage ya to dress up as your favorite characters! North End Pub will have "caucasians" and People's Ol Tavern on special as well!If you cannot attend and would still like to contribute to the cause you can venmo us here: @mompopproductions_ _ _ _ _ _ ________________________________________________ _ _ _ _ _ _As some of you may or may not be aware it is very laborious and costly to book and promote national acts. Most of our shows at North End run at a deficit but we do it because we love the space and having the opportunity to bring larger touring acts to our town!We are so grateful for our community that has continued to show up for our events and we are hoping that y'all will come and have a good time that will directly benefit operating costs for Mom&Pop Productions!

Every spring, the invasive plant garlic mustard emerges across our local nature preserves in large numbers. If left unchecked, this weed can change soil chemistry, overtake the forest's understory, and diminish the beautiful display of native ephemeral wildflowers. With your help, the forest understory will be filled with a diverse mix of plants that provide food and shelter to abundant wildlife.
For this year’s effort, NICHES Land Trust will be hosting a series of garlic mustard pulling shifts at local nature preserves within a 10-50 minute drive of Lafayette. This is our organization's single biggest annual volunteer push; if we can manage to fill every volunteer shift it will provide over a thousand volunteer hours during a critically important stewardship window. Please check out our shift dates/locations and sign-up by clicking the link below. All volunteers who register for 2 or more pulling shifts before the end of March will receive this years 'War of the Weeds' T-shirt featuring our top secret garlic mustard pesto recipe on the back!

Join us downtown on First Fridays for art, music, food, friends, and fun in a city-wide celebration of everything we love about Lafayette! First Friday began as an evolution of TAF’s Gallery Walk program with hopes to create a deeper and more consistent connection between Downtown business and local art – and in turn, improve quality of life for community members. Over 30 Downtown businesses now participate and stay open late to host an artist or live music!
