Join WFYI Live and WBAA for an Indie Lens Pop-Up screening of The Librarians on February 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. This screening is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is recommended. This event is part of the Indie Lens Pop-Up community series which brings people together for film screenings and community-driven conversations.

When Texas lawmakers seek to review a list of books, librarians find themselves on the frontlines of a national battle. Across the U.S., librarians face the impact of uniting against library collection standards that include restrictions on race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Drawing on historical context, The Librarians explores the broader implications for education and public life.

Join WFYI, A Longer Table and community members from across Indiana on February 24 for an important conversation around school food. Participants will include child nutrition directors from The Indiana School Nutrition Association, a local chef, and a certified medical professional.

Join WFYI, The Polis Center and The Women’s Fund for a community forum on the current state of women’s reproductive health in Indiana. The Polis Center will lead a presentation on the latest data related to women’s reproductive health, followed by Q&A, a panel discussion, then additional community Q&A. Panelists will share their expertise from a variety of professional backgrounds and speak to what community members can do to support women’s reproductive health in the state. The panel will be moderated by Free Press Indiana Director of Brand and Community Strategy Ebony Chappell.

Over the past three years, the iHeart Collaborative implemented evidence-based strategies in three Indianapolis communities to improve heart health outcomes.
