The Wabash Valley Artists Society’s 2022 Annual Juried Show “Local Color” is up at The Arts Federation September 2nd through 30th, Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM. This exhibit features 38 local artists and over 50 works of art. WVAS is a regional arts organization that provides artistic opportunities through monthly programs, workshops, Plein Air events, and exhibits. Join us at the Haan Museum for the exhibit, “Indiana Realities: Regionalist Paintings 1930-1945.” In this collection, Bob and Ellie Haan have gathered 39 of the best paintings from Hoosier artists who focused on scenes of everyday life in the Midwest during the Depression and WWII, using well-defined shapes to depict urban settings, industrial scenes and everyday activities of common people. Many of the artists were students at the Heron Art Institute in Indianapolis.The show will run from August 26th to November 12 and be available to see during the museum's normal operating hours, Wednesday-Saturday from 1-4pm. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 5-17, and free for members
