More Indiana high school students are taking Advanced Placement exams.
The latest results from the College Board shows 31% of graduating seniors last year had taken an A.P. test. That’s up about 10% in four years. Nearly 13.5% of all seniors passed an A.P. exam. The state's goal is to have 25% of all graduates pass such an exam.
This year, 25 schools reached the new benchmark—compared to eight schools in 2008. Indiana’s overall passing percentage for graduates was 14%, which is also an all-time high.
