Lindblom traded to Phillies

MLB

A Purdue alum is on the move in Major League Baseball. Relief Pitcher Josh Lindblom was traded from the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Philadelphia Phillies.

The former Boilermaker and Harrison High School graduate is 2-2 with just over a 3.0 earned run average.

He pitched in 48 relief appearances for the Dodgers. The 25-year-old right hander pitched Monday night for Los Angeles, going one inning and striking out one.

He and his wife, Aurielle, established the Josh Lindblom Foundation with a stated mission "To promote awareness and raise funds for families and children in need and to provide financial support for other charitable organizations. The foundation also strives to facilitate the dreams of others."
